It’s Alive! And So Am I.

Time to celebrate!

It’s aaaaaaalive!!

If you’ve been reading this blog for some time, you’ll notice something a little different. Actually, a lot different.

After five years of festering on an old design, VagabondingLife.com has been reborn. It was a mess. Still is a mess. But as I sit here with a three-day beard and red eyes, surrounded by Monster energy drink cans, I’ve decided that enough is enough.

If I see one more line of PHP code I’ll possibly vomit a snake up on the desk. Better to stop now.

So, the same old piss-poor grammar and bad writing are still there, but perhaps the new design will be easier on the eyes as you read my rants about enjoying the good life of vagabonding in this crazy-yet-beautiful world.

The old pages have been updated, and I’ve added some new stuff like this list of places that I survived.

Lots of tweaks still in the works, so leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Here’s to a brilliant 2013. This world is our playground — let’s go!

  1. I love your creative photo angles. That martini in the sunset is calling to me right now!

  2. Thanks, Melanie! I took that on top of the Sears tower in Chicago. Can’t remember, think they’re like $30 there or something. :)

  3. Took me a bit by surprise this did.

Like it I do :D Clearer and that too busy background is gone – well done Greg

I usually don’t get notified until a few days after you post.

  4. Very nice job. So clean and easy to read.

  5. So easy on the eyes…yet still food for the soul…

  6. Huge step forward! Sometimes I like to read some of your old threads and it was an hassle to do so. Thanks! :)

  7. I like it! I’ve been following your blog for the past few years and I have to say, though I was fond of the old design in a kind of fellow amateur blogger kind of way, this new design is slick! great work Greg, and I’m impressed by your skills. :)
