Spongefish contest
Spongefish is having a writing contest sponsored in part by Mike from Vagabondish ( a great read by the way).
I wrote a short account of my grizzly encounter in Alaska this past summer. I got it in last minute so who knows if it has a chance.
The finalists are chosen based on number of views and votes, so go vote for me and I will mail you $10. Send me screenshots of you viewing my story and I will get the checks into the mail right away. BTW, I am not responsible if any checks get lost in the post.

I would just like to say hello, I’m from the states and I’m leaving in July to take a rtw gap year trip. I’ve had a lot of fun reading your blog over the past week; your posts are really funny and well written. It’s really inspiring to see someone having such a great experience travelling long term, and you’ve made me more excited for my own trip.

Awesome bear! Would you believe I saw a brown bear on the Inca Trail as I was hiking all alone. Got a few pics but not very clear as it was foggy. I will tell the tale in my blog. Keep posted.
