Well, just as a temporary update – I’m sitting here back in the ugly tourist town of Sengiggi on Lombok.  I came back here to resupply, buy some snacks, and book my 4-day boat passage to Flores, the next “section” of Indonesia.

I’ll be sleeping on the deck of the boat, which hugs the coast and provides some awesome scenery. Four nights under the open stars on the sea – Heaven!

Last stop – Komodo, one of the only two islands in the world where you can see the man eating lizards.  They really aren’t dangerous, but some bring down buffalo sized animals to eat. As interesting as “death by giant lizard” would sound on my travel resume, I’m not going down without a fight. I hope they ate their wheaties that morning.
