Small smokey room, dim lighting, awkward silence. Maybe because I was a female that they openly accepted my $20 vs their $50 demand. Or it could've been my constant pleading. I don't know. I do regret not going with the first uniformed officer at the gate, who wanted me to slip him a ten. I refused and look where it got me lol :) lesson learned. Great site by the way! Glad to know you are in KL and not at the Ritz in Bali ... maybe somehow these events were even related in some mischievous way. Ok, the ounce of paranoia in me spoke. Indonesia was in my top 3 destinations, I wanted to spend at least 2 months there, but I somehow don't think it will happen anymore.
