Sweet!

Coming soon…..more options for getting back and forth between the US and Europe…and lower fares too.

That’s REALLY good news for people with friends all over Europe that need a visit!

You can read about it here:

The Rolex

horses at Rolex Kentucky

April is kind of a horse month here in Lexington. First, there are the Spring meet races at Keeneland, then the Rolex Kentucky 3 day competition, and the grand finale is the Derby which is one very big party and is coming up fast on Saturday. I can count the number of times that I have ridden a horse on one hand, but hey…I’m always up for the party part. :)

Great quote

“Travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.”
- Miriam Beard

I will admit, I am a total quote geek. Countless times however, quotes have popped into my mind and helped me to make difficult decisions or to stay on target. The quotes that really seem to prove useful are the ones from Sun Tzu’s “Art of War” and Lao tzu’s “Tao te Ching”.

I found the quote above on another Boots-n-all member’s webpage and it stuck with me. To me, it points out the difference between people that take a 10 day holiday to escape and those that really travel. I have told so many people once I got home that it feels like I am STILL traveling, I am seeing things with new eyeballs. They usually look at me like I spent too much time sipping the “magic shakes” on Ko Phan-gan. Regardless, once you warp your reference points and expand your paradigms via living with different cultures, the mundane life you left back at home suddenly becomes new and interesting again.

I’m building a collection of travel quotes here. Feel free to email me any that you want to add!
