Why do I travel?

- The state of Florida is larger than England, yet England has the strongest currency in a world that they managed to take over most of. Lucky me that they did, now English is pretty well the world’s language.

- A carving of an elephant with the trunk up means “Good Luck”. If the trunk is down, it means “Happiness”.

- The Sphinx in Egypt only seems as big as it does because it is always photographed from the front with the pyramids at a good distance behind it, giving a false size reference.

What now?

Now that I am home and am not paying by the hour for a hamster-powered computer, I plan to re-write many of my blog entries from the most recent trip and fill in some of the blanks. I will also include pictures and links to things of interest. I am working on a vagabonding FAQ made up of all the questions I have received throughout the year, so if I can get my creative butt in gear it should be useful for anyone anticipating similar travels next year.

So what I just spent a lot of words to say was…dont stop reading just because I am home! There are still stories bouncing around in my head trying to make their way to my fingers and the keyboard.

Speaking of fingers…I finished my industrial strength antibiotics (for the second time), and already my finger that I cut during the dive is becoming infected again. The Thislegorm just wont leave me alone! Looks like someone is getting a tetanus shot for Christmas this year.

I love getting email from anyone that reads this thing, so send me some ideas. Keep me motivated before I end up in a double-wide cracking beers in front of the satellite TV and yelling at the kids to shut up.
